What is the MCRC?
The Meadville Community Revitalization Corporation (MCRC) is a 501-3-c nonprofit dedicated to bringing new energy to downtown Meadville. We work side by side with residents, businesses, and community partners to build a shared vision for a downtown that’s lively, welcoming, and rooted in our history and local pride — a place that truly benefits everyone.
Why is the MCRC Important?
While Meadville benefits from a number of organizations, there is no entity whose singular focus is to revitalize the City’s downtown through property redevelopment, resource coordination, and placemaking. The MCRC’s role is therefore important…
For Downtown Economic Growth
By attracting new businesses and supporting existing ones, the CRC will boost local employment and economic activity.
For Improved Livability
Enhancing public spaces and infrastructure will improve the quality of life for the community as a whole.
For Sustainable Funding and Resources
Leveraging grants and funding will enable sustainable development that benefits the entire community.

What will the MCRC DO?
The MCRC is leading efforts to make downtown stronger, more welcoming, and full of possibility. To make this happen, the MCRC’s is taking the lead in several key ways.
Implementing Strategic Projects
The MCRC will oversee transformative projects such as renovating existing structures as well as developing new residential and commercial spaces that contribute to our downtown.
Improving Public Spaces
Initiatives like better lighting, sidewalks, and public art will make downtown more attractive and accessible.
Supporting Businesses
Through business retention and recruitment strategies, the CRC will help create a vibrant downtown economy.
Leading Branding and Marketing
Promote downtown Meadville as a destination for residents, visitors, and businesses guided by a marketing plan that highlights the unique aspects of downtown and creates a cohesive identity for the area.
Engaging the Community
Establish channels and engagement efforts to ensure that community voices are heard and considered.
