Workshop Description

Discover the art of metalsmithing and create a custom-fit copper ring band from start to finish in this beginner-friendly, small-group workshop. Perfect for creative enthusiasts eager to explore jewelry fabrication, this hands-on class introduces you to the fundamentals of soldering—one of the most essential and exciting techniques in metalwork.

Under guided instruction, you’ll learn how to:

Properly measure and size a metal sheet ring band to your fit

Cut, file, and form copper sheet into a band design

Prepare, flux, and solder seams using a torch

Shape, sand, and polish your finished ring for personalized and professional results

All tools, materials, and safety equipment will be provided. Participants will leave with a completed copper ring, hands-on experience with soldering, and the confidence to continue exploring metalsmithing on their own.

Light refreshments and access to our full coffee and cocoa bar are included.

This class is intentionally limited in size to ensure plenty of one-on-one instruction—so early registration is encouraged!
